On 18th & 25th June the Year 4 children embarked on a visit to the Liverpool World Museum. The main focus of the visit was to practically experience the year’s context for learning; the children explored Egyptian artefacts and mummified bodies, linked to their Tomb Raiders topic.  In addition, to link to their Charles Darwin theme of Daring Discoveries, the children were given the opportunity to examine fossils, specimens, bones and plants.

 

The visit increased the children’s wonder and awe and helped to deepen their understanding of the topics being studied in class.
