Where appropriate the teaching of our mathematics curriculum is linked to other areas. This has been highlighted during our promotion of ‘Mathematics in Science’ linking mathematics with other areas has risen the profile of STEAM, to illustrate not only the connection between subjects but also, the overlapping of common skills and themes.

The mathematics curriculum is underpinned by extensive opportunities to engage with mathematics beyond the classroom. Mathematics has a very high profile within school. Mathematics clubs have been organised for children of all ages by Magical Maths and also by our feeder school, The Grove who had worked with our more able Year 5 children to create an afterschool mathematics club.
