Online Safety

Keeping your child safe when using the internet, social media or mobile devices is paramount but can sometimes be tricky.

The internet is great and can help your child to keep in touch with their friends and education - but it can also cause harm - to them and to others.

Remember, help is always available at school if you are having any problems online. Don't be afraid to talk to your child's teacher or another adult in school. Remind your child that they can talk to staff too.

Tips for staying safe online:

  • Make sure you keep new online friends strictly online. If someone you don't know asks to be your online friend you must ensure an adult knows about it.
  • Know how to use the CEOP button and how to report it to the CEOP Centre if you are concerned about someone's online behaviour towards you.

There are many different websites that can be used at home to support your child understanding internet safety. Please follow this link to share with your child - Personal Development.

Below you can find some websites that will help to support you to understand how to support your child.
