The Year 4 children recently enjoyed a residential trip to the Conway Centre on Anglesey. Over the three days at the centre they took part in climbing, a low ropes and zipwire course, bushcraft (made fires, toasted marshmallows, made shelters, learned how to chop wood to make kindling and how to make a spark using flint and steel), pond dipping and a beach walk.
They also completed a set of superb art sculptures, linked to the upcoming Olympics and our school games initiative; these are now proudly on display in our reception area.
Everyone had a fabulous time, the weather was stunning and all of the children came away with fantastic memories and a new set of skills.
Thanks to the children for being such great ambassadors for our school and many thanks to all the school staff and volunteers who made the trip possible.
