The Great Market Drayton Junior School Bake Off
Our in-school tribute to the Great British Bake-Off competition has become somewhat of a tradition over the last few years, after proving a popular addition to our calendar of events. This year’s ‘Bake-Off’ was held earlier this week and was, once again, tremendously supported with almost 70 entries submitted. The money raised from the entry fees will go towards improving our in-school cookery resources and facilities.
The competition was split between Lower School and Upper School, with various categories of entry including Cupcakes, Sponge Cake and Biscuits. On a similar theme to the popular TV show, entrants could also submit a ‘showstopper’ creation which was to have a seasonal Easter theme.
All entries were then sold off in a cake sale on Wednesday, the proceeds of which will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
A big congratulations to all of our winners who were as follows:
Upper School Showstopper - Morgan 6IR
Lower School Showstopper - Jack 3RG
Upper School Sponge - Jessica 6IR
Lower School Sponge - Seth 3RG
Upper School Cupcakes - Sophie 6IR
Lower School Cupcakes - Aoife 4LH
Lower School Biscuits - Owen 3ESH
