SUMO morning

On Thursday 17th October the whole school took part in a PSHE activity, learning about positive attitudes and behaviours which helped them to recognise how these can be utilised to their advantage.  This project is called SUMO, which stands for ‘Stop Understand, Move On’. As part of this the children spent the morning in mixed classes with children from other years and registration groups, that they may not normally have the opportunity to mix with.

They took part in a number of activities designed to demonstrate to them that how they choose to approach life impacts upon how they experience it.  Children were asked to design their own positive message T-shirts.  Some fabulous designs and valuable messages such as “a smile is the trick”, “never give up” and “always believe in yourself” were created.

The children all thoroughly enjoyed the morning and even made some new friends!
