Kwik Cricket Win
On Tuesday 1st July, 18 children travelled to Market Drayton Cricket Club to take part in a Kwik Cricket Tournament.
The children were split into two teams of 9 for the competition with both of our teams being placed into Group A against three other teams. During the group matches, Team A won two and lost two of their matches and Team B won three and lost one, which meant they finished on top of their group.
As a result of topping their Group Team B proceeded to the final where they were against Norton in Hales school. After an extremely closely fought contest, which went down to the last ball, we were fortunate enough to win the overall competition.
All the children enjoyed their day; as well as having lots of laughs, team building, game time together, with the gingerbread being an added bonus!!
Since returning from the competition it has been lovely to hear such positive praise about our school. I received an email stating that ‘You have really got a great bunch of kids with some fantastic bowlers and they really do both themselves, you and your school proud.’ It is fantastic to hear such praise for our school and all the children who participated should feel quite rightly proud of their achievements.
