Its Christmas - Lower School Production

Lower School recently delighted audiences with their rendition of the Nativity. The traditional Christmas Story was given a musical makeover as the children counted down the hits to see who would be top of the festive pop charts.

There was a bit of Motown round the manger with ‘Gabriel’s Soul Patrol’, while glam-rock shepherds, ‘The Crooks’, brought the beat to Bethlehem in their platform heels! Also contenders for the top spot were boyband trio ‘The Wise Guys’, bickering folk-punks ‘The Landlords’, 60’s pop icons ‘Don Kee & The Animals’ and the brassy ‘Herod & The King’s Swingers’!

Once all the acts had performed, it was time to find out who had reached the coveted top spot in the Christmas chart. Following a tense run down, we were told of a new entry in at number one; it was The Yuletiders, a super group made up of all the acts we had previously heard from during the show. Their single ‘Everybody Sing Along’ delivered an important message about Christmas and brought the show to a close.

Congratulations to all the children who performed in the show; they all worked really hard to learn their lines, steps and songs. Thank you very much to all the adults who helped prepare them for their roles; made and provided them with costumes and props. The school are very grateful to the adults who helped with the lights, the music and organising the cast.
