Recently the Under 11 football team have taken part in the ESFA national tournament at the Shrewsbury Sports Village. On Wednesday 2nd October the team played three matches against: Oxon, which they drew 0-0; Longnor which they drew 1-1 and Crowmoor which they won 2-1. This meant they had enough points to go through to the semi-finals the next week.
On Wednesday 9th October the team were once again back at the Sports Village. Firstly, they played Baschurch and drew 0-0; secondly, they played Belvidere and drew 1-1. Finally, they played Mereside and lost 1-0, which meant they did not have enough points to go through to the next stage of the competition.
The team played really well on both occasions and were unlucky not to proceed any further. A big thank you to all the parents who supported the children on both evenings.
