Congratulations to Jacob, Year 4, who recently acted as a player escort for the U18 England International match against the Republic of Ireland.

 

Children from primary schools across the county were nominated to act as escorts during this important fixture on Friday 8th April at the New Saints FC ground in Oswestry. Jacob represented our school as he led one of the Republic of Ireland players out on to the pitch at the start of the match.

 

Then Jacob and his family watched the closely fought match which finally resulted in a 2 - 2 draw. This was a very important match for the England U18 Boys as the draw saw them win the U18 Centenary Shield.

 

We are very proud of Jacob for representing our school in such a fantastic manner and would like to thank him and his family for attending the event.
