• MacMillian Coffee Morning

  On Friday 27th September Market Drayton Junior School’s took part in the world’s largest coffee morning when the School Council invited parents and friends to school to take part in a coffee morning to raise money for the MacMillian nurses. Many thanks to all the parents who donated cakes and money for the occasion – you managed to raise £314.00 for the charity which is a marvellous amount.

• Tour of Britain Cycle Race

  Staff, children and parents thoroughly enjoyed the experience of watching the Tour of Britain Cycle Race on Wednesday 18th September. Although the cyclists were extremely quick the atmosphere of the event and the excitement generated by the police on their motorbikes was greatly appreciated by all. Thank you very much to all the parents and relatives who helped walk the children to the event.

• Market Drayton in Bloom

  The school was very excited to hear that the Gardening Club had won the Best School Category in the Market Drayton in Bloom Competition for the fourth year running. On Wednesday 11thSeptember 2013 Mr Boughey and members of the Gardening Club went to the presentation of awards evening at the Royal British Legion to pick up the prize. The school would like to thank Mr Boughey and Mrs Hunt for all their hard work with the garden. In addition, thanks go to the children who attend the club each week and who thoroughly deserve the award.
