  • Leaver's Assembly

    Wed 20 Jul 2016 Mrs Wakelin

    On Wednesday 20th July parents, family members and friends were all invited to our Year 6 Leaver’s Assembly. 

     

    There was a mixture of singing, children performing talents (music, dance, singing, gymnastics and ju jitsu) and drama and also certificates and gifts awarded to each of the children to commemorate and celebrate their achievements. 

     

    Ten children were selected to win special awards: three for school ambassadors, three for understanding others and three for extra-curricular activity, as well as the Headteacher's Award. 

  • Kevin Mann Race 2016

    This year’s Kevin Mann Race was held separately from Sports Day on the 19th July. All the children taking part should be very proud of their efforts – there were some amazing performances. Congratulations to the children who won the 8 races, two for each age group.

     

    Many thanks to all the parents who came to cheer the children on during the event. Thank you to Mrs Taylor for organising the race and a special thank you to Mrs Mann who came to present the trophy.

  • Summer Garden Party 2016

    On Friday 15th July the school hosted its Summer Garden Party. With stalls, games, high ropes and the climbing wall there was plenty to see and do. Many thanks to the PTA for providing the refreshments – Mr and Mrs Keay provided everyone with amazing burgers.

     

    Many thanks to both our choirs who entertained us all with their beautiful singing. Thanks to Mrs Wakelin and Miss Kynaston for all their hard work preparing the choirs.

     

    The school would like to thank Lily Boughey for stepping in at the last minute to entertain us all with a breath taking vocal show accompanied by her guitar.

     

    Finally, many thanks to all the parents and children who supported the event.

  • Robert Spiers Football Tournament 2016

    On Friday 8th July 12 teams took part in the annual Robert Spiers Football Tournament. The 8 boys teams and 4 girls teams displayed great enthusiasm and sportsmanship during the event and some wonderful goals were scored. Congratulations to all the children who participated.

     

    Thank you very much to Mr Richards for helping to organise the tournament and to Mr Boughey for helping with the referring.

     

    At the end of a close contest the winner of the Boys Tournament, after a penalty shoot-out, was Harriers 1 and the winner of the Girls Tournament was Falcons. Congratulations to all the children in these teams for their amazing efforts.
