    Congratulations to the members of the Falcons' house team who won the Merit Point trophy for the Autumn Term.  The totals were as follows:

  • Carol Service

    Well done to all the children in Years 3 and 4 who took part in the nativity service on Tuesday 17thDecember. The rest of the children, staff, parents and other family members were greatly entertained by the children’s performance of Gabriel’s Big Break, as the angel Gabriel helped prepare for the birth of the baby Jesus. Thank you very much to all the parents and other family members for attending both services and supporting the children. Thanks must also go to all the staff who assisted the children before and during their performances. 
  • The School Choir

    The school choir has been very busy recently with performances at St. Mary’s Church at the Joint School’s Carol Service on Wednesday 11th December. Thank you very much to the Reverend Tanner for hosting the event and the Grove for organising the service. Once again it was extremely well supported by parents and family members.

    The choir’s second outing of the week was at the Bridgemere Garden Centre on Thursday 12thDecember. The children should feel very proud of their performances and were a real credit to the school. Thank you very much to Mrs Wakelin and Miss Woods for all their hard work coaching the choir and organising the performances.
  • Singing at Bridgemere

    On 12th December 2013 a choir of 30 Year 5 & 6 children from our school took part in a schools singing competition at Bridgemere Garden World in Nantwich.
    On the day the children entertained shoppers with Christmas carols and festive songs and voting slips were on hand for shoppers to cast their votes.  The children’s families came along to support and join in with the festivities.

    The choir won a £50 cash prize in respect of the competition, which will be used towards music resources for the school and its pupils.      
                
    Congratulations to the choir and thanks to our supporters and to Bridgemere Garden World for inviting us to take part!
  • PTA Christmas Fair

    The school would like to say a big thank you to the PTA for organising our very successful Christmas Fair on Thursday 12th December. Thanks must also go to the local businesses for donating prizes for the raffle and to everyone who came to support the event. We greatly appreciate all the support and the £908.70 raised will be very useful.

    The library became a grotto for the evening allowing the children to visit Father Christmas. While the hall was packed with stalls selling seasonal gifts and treats; and the children had many of their Design and Technology projects on sale.
  • Pirates of the Curry Bean

    Thank you very much to the children and staff in Year 5 and 6 for their production of the Pirates of the Curry Bean. The two performances on the 4th and 5th of December were greatly appreciated by parents and other family members. Well done to all the staff members who helped the children during their rehearsals and performances.
  • Childrens University Graduations

    On 2nd December fourteen children, watched by their parents, took part in our second graduation ceremony as they had managed to reach the 30-stamp milestone in their passport. Congratulations to all the children who have reached their first milestone and a particular well done to Shona who is our first ‘silver’ graduate as she has collected 65 stamps in her passport.
